Almost at one of our busiest stretches of the year. Are you ready? Here's what's coming up for us (full invites below):
- Next Fri 1.31 - vintage-inspired tropical tiki night and the underground casino of your dreams, Castaways Casino Club (got credit from wining here before? It's still good!). Help us plan for optimal amount of supplies and number of dealers by RSVPing here: https://www.facebook.com/events/2370519996591551
- Sun 2.9 - our first-ever sex-positive pop-up bazaar, The Sinners Market, was a huge hit in October. We decided to run a Valentine's edition, with emphasis on more giftable items, whether for yourself or your beloveds. Check out the full artist list below (still open to others!), and linked through at https://www.facebook.com/events/792085851309126
- Fri 2.14 - Your favorite steamy Valentine's Day celebration is back for its 12th year. You + brass band + exclusive banya access + free vodka & pierogies = winning VDay. Three notes on ticket levels: 1) The Banya is no longer offering a full dinner option, but we've brought back the early access ticket, which allows you to get in a full two hours before official party start, plus guarantees your own locker and a token to bypass the open bar queue. 2) We're selling out faster than ever, with almost 30% of tickets already gone. But! If all tickets go before Feb 1, we could ask the Banya about adding another date, possibly Feb 15. FB: https://www.facebook.com/events/396867621122042
- Sat 2.15 - Our other annual VDay (and our birthday!) celebration, Meet Me in Paris clandestine cabaret and dance party. We're also running an early bird ticket special on this one, with code "vdaylove" for two tickets for $30 (extended until midnight on Fri Jan 31). FB: https://www.facebook.com/events/2641214152634769

Castaways Casino Club
Friday, Jan 31, 9pm-late, sliding scale $10-20 donation, 21+ with ID (25+ suggested)
Gemini and Scorpio Loft, Gowanus, BK
Address with RSVP: http://www.geminiandscorpio.com/events.html
Social media: @gemini_scorpio #geminiandscorpio
Calling all faux millionaires to litter their gold coin at our illicit gambling establishment far offshore on the banks of Gowanus. The casino club will feature blackjack, roulette and the star attraction of the night: Texas hold'em tournament, played at 10pm, 11pm, and 12am for a $50 value prize. For non-tourney games, a member credit system will let you use your winnings for future party entry, drinks, etc (win last time? your credit is still good!).
The original Castaways resort in Vegas was peak-60s polynesian insanity. We'll honor our namesake with tropical drinks & beats, for full tiki party mode alongside the games. Even if you don't gamble, you win.
Dress suggestions: funky party-wear, 1960s Polynesian kitsch, faux fancy, vintage lounge, sparkly cocktail, or other non-sloppy attire appreciated. No elaborate costumes or formalwear required, but you know we love it when you put in effort.
We'll turn the heat way up for some sweaty dancing joy. Wear layers!
Lastly: we still have a few of those ridiculous tiki to-go tumblers from the last Castaways. Take your tropical drinks to go in one of those bad boys for only $10.
