A COVID-safe immersive cocktail experience in a lovingly crafted jewel box speakeasy. Plum Blossom Parlor is a luscious indoor "garden" lodge, inspired by The Emperor's Garden -- a corner of Forbidden City palace complex in Beijing that was untouched for about 100 years & was being painstakingly restored for the last 15, to open in...2020. Our installation is just a tiny bit of love from Brooklyn to China, at a time when the world couldn't be more split apart.
The Parlor is designed for COVID pods of up to eight people (two minimum) and runs entirely unstaffed -- which means masks are not required once you're inside. Handcrafted libations are pre-bottled & ready to enjoy on the spot or at home. A mini couch folds out, if you're booking for date night makeouts & cuddle puddles. Snack options are available by advance request. Simply book your time window & enjoy. And yes, you can book back-to-back slots to extend your time here. You can also book the room for meetings, birthday parties, shoots, Zoom events, etc...absolutely anything, as long as no more than eight people are inside at any one time.
Please see our site for more info, and drop us a line if you'd like to learn more or to check availability.

ART/PERFORMANCE: Swoon: The House Our Families Built
Traveling around NYC, a 14 foot box truck has been transformed into a diorama-style outdoor sculpture that is a stage for both visual and performance art, inspired by domestic scenes and stories shared on the PBS site. Caledonia Curry whose work appears under the name Swoon, uses intricate cutaways, painting, and performance to build a world that blends reality and wonder. Curry and her long-time collaborator, Jeff Stark selected a diverse range of stories to express through this sculptural work. These stories have been shaped into a 15 minute performance that transitions through emotions from humor to fear, tenderness to confrontation, encouraging people to ask where they’ve come from and what they can leave behind.
