Hello lovelies,

One more day till we time-travel to turn-of-century Paris and blow it out with our anachronistic Valentine's cabaret! It will be a full house, but some tickets remain, miraculously including a *single table of four seats* of the two we added last week after selling out all others. Someone grab that quick :P

We're also delighted to announce the return of our annual Brooklyn Mardi Gras, with the usual excess of brass bands and King cake. Still working on gumbo for this year, as our usual go-to, Gumbo Bros is no longer around (RIP). If anyone has tasty gumbo recos for the party, whether caterer or restaurant, reach out! Meanwhile, tickets *just* went on sale, so you can snag yours early enough to get a slice of King cake included.

A clandestine French cabaret with sensuous live music, sultry burlesque and variety acts, followed by late-night dancing and lounging in our softly-lit loft. Our house band will be playing three full sets to swoon, sway and dance to, with deliciously naughty performances during and in between. Absinthe and other special libations at the bar. It's also our annual Birthday celebration: we turn 21 this year!

- Three sets of vintage danceable French gems straight out of the pre-war Parisian cabaret scene by Avalon Jazz Band
- Hosted by dashing & dangerous magician Eric Walton
- Mind-bending contortion by Allison Schieler
- Daring aerial by Brenna Bradbury & Lisa Natoli
- Risqué burlesque by Lydia Vengeance
- Nouvelle chanson to electro-swing dance mix by DJ Poodlecannon (Marc Nasdor)
- Free social dance class by Brooklyn Swings at 9:30pm

Dress code: cocktail or costume. Cabaret through the ages (turn-of-century Belle Époque Moulin Rouge cabaret, 1920s Josephine Baker cabaret, 1930s Marlene Dietrich cabaret, 1940s Edith Piaf cabaret, 1950s Jacques Brel cabaret, 1960s las Vegas cabaret, 1970s Bob Fosse cabaret, timeless cabaret lounge, anachronistic punk cabaret); vintage or modern high style; dressy & classy. No casual wear, please.

*All GA tickets offer the same access to the event. Please buy at the highest price you can, to support artists, production and affordable tickets for everyone. For every patron ticket ($45) we add a low income ticket ($15).

After a two-year pandemic hiatus, our joyful sold-out hit event is back for 2023! Dance your beads off to killer brass bands and enjoy authentic NoLA cocktails all night in the ultimate Brooklyn party loft. Find the baby in the King Cake, and be king for the night: you get a crown, mask, beads and a drink ticket. Wear your glittering best and take advantage of our Sassy Selfie Station, with boas, masks and other fun props.  

Featuring:
- 12am - The L Train Brass Band - a 30-person crew awarded Best Music Group at 2018 Coney Island Mermaid Parade, cranking out a wild mix of NoLA jazz, Latin, Balkan, hip hop, funk, R&B and pop.
- 11pm - New Heights Brass Band - seven-piece women-first brass band playing original music that fuses street-band style energy with jazz and funk
- 10pm - Off The Bar Brass Band - pop troubadours with NoLa flavor

*If you reserve your tickets by Feb 28, you can get in on direct-from-Louisiana deliciousness: either a slice of King Cake, or cake plus a heaping plate of traditional or vegetarian gumbo. Food is served 9-10pm.

Costume suggestions: masks, costumes, purple, gold, green, glitter, beads! We will have some masks available for sale, as well.
