It's been a minute since you heard from us, as we've mostly been busy continuing to build out the venue and hosting private events. (Yes, you too can have your show/party/performance here! Drop a line to loft@PROTECTED with your desired dates, number of people, etc.)

But, spring is here, and that always puts us in a dancing mood. Our sister group, House of Scorpio, is hosting two dance parties, this Friday and next, with two different vibes. First up is Fierce!, our happy-beats party for our queer, poly, sx-pos folk and their allies, and then we go dark with a goth & kink social. Because it's been too damn long, we're lifting the membership requirement on both, and inviting the whole world to come dance with us...whether your vibes are light or dark.

We've made both events super affordable, $15 in advance or $20 at door. And you can even score $10 DDD tickets through this weekend, no code required.

We'll see you on the dance floor!

Calling all LGBTQIA+, poly, swinger, kink and other "alternative" dating/sex/gender-aligned humans and their allies for a social & dance blowout in our new nightlife lair. We got lights & smoke & lasers, booming bass, spinning disco ball, swirling visuals, lots of dance floor, lots of couches, killer AC or cozy heat. Queer DJs lay down an eclectic mix of happy hits & house beats. This month's guest DJ: Matty Gliteratti.

Dress code: your queerest self! Sparkly unicorns, leather daddies, LED aliens, fancy fairies, punk dykes, glitter glamour queens, sequin divas, kinky party monsters, dandy butches, neon rainbow bears. This party is inclusive of all genders & expressions -- except casual wear. Dress to dance!

DDD is a goth + dance + kink queer-forward celebration, inviting all participants to let go, dance and play in our luscious private loft. We embrace all genders and sexualities and levels of darkness. Consent and polite party behavior strictly enforced.

On decks:

DJ Shiver has been bringing the best of darkwave, goth, industrial, and post-punk sounds since 2015. Having spun at Femme Fest LA, Defcon NYC, and co-founding clubs Dolce Vita and Physical Ruins, she continues to blend both beloved classics and the best of new dark music. She also runs Wire Trap music magazine featuring the best new darkwave and post-punk music and events.

Jeffo! has one of the largest collections of 80s records around and isn't afraid to spin the rarities and b-sides you forgot you loved. An original Club Kid, he started DJing at Purgatory (Pyramid), Damnation (The Bank) and Censored (The Building), some of the first parties in NYC to blend New Wave, Post-punk, Gothic, and Industrial, and was a resident DJ at Zenwarp (Limelight and Webster Hall.) More recently he's spun at SVMMON, DefCon, Dorian Gray, The Red Party, SMack!, Salvation, and Cabaret Berlin (Montreal).

Dress code: goth, fetish, romantic, vampire, dark Lolita, neo-Victorian, steampunk, ninja warrior. Effort required / no casual wear.
