Hello lovelies,

The quiet May in G&S land really means House of Scorpio is gearing up for Pride. If you haven't yet looked at everything our all-gender all-orientation sex-positive community has to offer, now is a great time to join. And we're setting up great incentives for new members starting on June 1, like getting your 6th month free as well as exclusive ticket discounts and freebies.

The other thing we're gearing up for is the next major wave of renovations. This iteration of G&S Loft will have a full kitchen and food service for all events, possibly as soon as end of summer. We haven't run any fundraising yet, but we could very much use your help. Both memberships and one-time donations (see signature) are gratefully accepted.

DDD is a queer-forward kink-friendly goth dance celebration, inviting all participants to let go, dance and play in our luscious private loft. We embrace all genders and sexualities and levels of darkness. Consent and polite party behavior strictly enforced.

On decks:

DJ Shiver has been bringing the best of darkwave, goth, industrial, and post-punk sounds since 2015. Having spun at Femme Fest LA, Defcon NYC, and co-founding clubs Dolce Vita and Physical Ruins, she continues to blend both beloved classics and the best of new dark music. She also runs Wire Trap music magazine featuring the best new darkwave and post-punk music and events.

Guest DJ Mark Splatter. International DJ Mark Splatter plays LGBTQ+ focus deathrock, postpunk, wave, gothic, batcave, dark alternative, & other curiosities

Dress code: goth, fetish, romantic, vampire, dark Lolita, neo-Victorian, steampunk, ninja warrior. Effort required / no casual wear.

*Dark DecaDance happens on every fourth Friday of the month.

Then: we’re keeping the party going with Dynasty Dance afterparty. Channel your inner Alexis with gold lame, shoulder pads and power suits, and break out your best side-to-side dance moves. Dance-ready retro mix all night: 80s 90s 00s pop + house.

G&S Loft is your brand new 5k sq ft party home in Gowanus/Park Slope. It's been a year, and we're looking cute, but so much more is still TK: new kitchen! cabaret date nights! immersive dining! Entry is FREE, but please donate what you can at the door to help us become your dream venue. We accept cash, cards, Venmo and PayPal.

An early night of great live jazz by Danny Jonokuchi & the Revisionists. Bring yourself, a date, or catch up with a friend in a lush private loft with a jungle-themed bar to quench your thirst. Or if you want to pick up your feet and give it a Swing, a lesson is included with your ticket, and our wide open wood dance floor awaits. Come as you are, no partner or special attire required.

Danny Jonokuchi & the Revisionists are "today's premier swing band" (Broadway World) with "a classic swing sound you wouldn't think possible" (Syncopated Times). They were unanimously named the winners of the 2020 Count Basie Great American Swing Contest, and their infectious sound has been described as "smile-inducing" (Downbeat). Multi-talented bandleader Danny Jonokuchi has been called "a rising star" (All About Jazz) and "a sound of this era" (Nextbop). Known for his trumpet, vocals, and "well-crafted arrangements" (Jazz Weekly), he leads an all-star ensemble that "has dancers in mind start to finish" (Syncopated Times).

Brooklyn Swings is a great chill place to learn Swing & Blues dances. These are Black American Culture Dances: Lindy Hop was made popular in Harlem, NY, Blues dances started in the South and ALL are danced all over the world today. We have locations in Prospect Heights, Williamsburg and Gowanus at this very Gemini & Scorpio Loft. We've been going for about 13 years offering weekly classes, private lessons, wedding lessons, dance events and invited to many private events. Wanna dance?
