If you have been with us for any length of time, you know Valentine's Day is our Birthday -- it was for VDay in 2002 that G&S threw its first party! We return this year with our annual immersive cabaret celebration, Meet Me in Paris, with live hot jazz & variety acts. You can reserve couch seats & tables and have the loveliest date time, with friends or lovers. And then there's the makeout party courtesy of our sexy sister brand House of Scorpio.

- This Fri 2.14 - Lip Service: pansexual makeout party ($0-25, HoS members only) - We normally keep House of Scorpio over on the other site & list, but who can resist a makeout party on Valentine's Day?! Yes, you will need a HoS membership to join the fun (these start at $5), as well as an accountability buddy to come with you. More details below and on the HoS site.

- This Sat 2.15 - Meet Me in Paris ($20-50) - step back in time to turn-of-century Paris in our annual Valentine's cabaret bash. Live music, live performance, cozy seating, swingin' dance floor, killer cocktails. Best date night in town at about half the price of a boring restaurant. Low income tickets are just $20, but they do sell out fast.

- Fri 2.28 - Dark DecaDance ($0-20) - Let's get goth, people! DDD has been a monthly highlight for us, growing its own community over this past year, and we love welcoming new people into the fold. Forget the pink and red...tonight we wear BLACK.

- Sat 3.1 - Brooklyn Mardi Gras ($25-50) - One of the absolute best parties of the year is back! Don't wait -- you got before EOD Sun 2.23 to get in on gumbo and king cake flown in directly from NoLa.

A clandestine French cabaret with sensuous live music, sultry burlesque and variety acts, followed by late-night dancing and lounging in our softly-lit loft. Our house band will be playing three full sets to swoon, sway and dance to, with deliciously naughty performances during and in between. Absinthe and other special libations at the bar. It's also our annual Birthday celebration: we turn 23 this year!

- Three sets of vintage danceable French gems straight out of the pre-war Parisian cabaret scene by Adrien Chevalier Hot Club
- Risqué burlesque and variety acts performed live to the band
- Nouvelle chanson to electro-swing dance party after the band

Cabaret through the ages (turn-of-century Belle Époque Moulin Rouge cabaret, 1920s Josephine Baker cabaret, 1930s Marlene Dietrich cabaret, 1940s Edith Piaf cabaret, 1950s Jacques Brel cabaret, 1960s las Vegas cabaret, 1970s Bob Fosse cabaret, timeless cabaret lounge, anachronistic punk cabaret); vintage or modern high style; dressy & classy. DDD is a queer-forward kink-friendly goth dance celebration, inviting all participants to let go, dance and play in our luscious private loft. We embrace all genders and sexualities and levels of darkness.
 
On decks: resident DJ Shiver has been bringing the best of darkwave, goth, industrial, and post-punk sounds since 2015. Having spun at Femme Fest LA, Defcon NYC, and co-founding clubs Dolce Vita and Physical Ruins, she continues to blend both beloved classics and the best of new dark music. She also runs Wire Trap music magazine featuring the best new darkwave and post-punk music and events.

Guest DJ: Newark, NJ native DJ Luna is a force to be reckoned with: he is QXT's resident DJ with 20+ years DJing experience. Cultivating the soundtrack for the evening, inspiring the dance floor to stay in perpetual motion, seamlessly blending genres and varying styles...Luna's set lists are always unique, dark, electronic and stimulating.

Light kink play welcome, but please note there is no dedicated dungeon setup or dedicated monitors. Consent and polite party behavior strictly enforced.

Plus: Fundraiser for LA wildfires! World Central Kitchen has been doing an amazing job of getting hot meals to displaced residents and first responders. We'd like to collect donations for them at the event to help them continue their work: https://wck.org

The raucous, joyful sold-out hit event is back for 2025! Dance your beads off to killer brass bands and enjoy authentic NoLA cocktails all night in the ultimate Brooklyn party loft. Find the baby in the King Cake, and be king for the night: you get a crown, mask, beads and a drink ticket. Wear your glittering best and take advantage of our Sassy Selfie Station, with boas, masks and other fun props, plus temp tattoos by HONK NYC.

Featuring:

12am - The L Train Brass Band - a non-profit community of 100+ musicians cranking out a wild mix of NoLA jazz, Latin, Balkan, hip hop, funk, R&B and pop

- 11pm - HONK Family Band - house band of HONK NYC brass festivals, HFB brings the carnival to the party, second-lining onto the stage with liberatory joy. Expect sizzling solos, samba reggae sounds, pop classics and lots o' sass.

- 10pm - AdHoc Brass Band - ADHoc hits the streets of NYC with a big NOLA sound, fusing that swingin’ second-line swagger with the raw power of a modern street band: high-energy, hard-hitting, and unstoppable.

Plus: authentic food and drink flown in directly from NoLA! If you reserve your ticket by EOD Sunday Feb 18, you get a slice of King Cake included FREE - any extra cake will be sold at $5/slice, accompanied by (decaf) Cafe du Monde coffee. We will also serve traditional chicken & andouille sausage gumbo over rice 9-11pm or while it lasts ($15/plate, can also be reserved before 2.19).

Costume suggestions: masks, costumes, purple, gold, green, glitter, beads! We will have some masks available for sale, as well.
