What a strange few years it's been...and yet here we are in 2026 and, impossibly, are about to celebrate our 24th birthday on Valentine's Day (we threw our first party on VDay in 2002!).

Alongside our usual clandestine cabaret blowout, there are the saucy House of Scorpio events all February. As you know by now, running this safe-space community means the world to us, and we hope you might consider joining it as well as our usual non-spicy G&S parties.

- This Fri 1.23 - Dark DecaDance goth dance party ($15-20, HoS members get discounts) - queer meets kink meets goth. This month is our rare live band edition! If you feel alive when dark guitar riffs, vocals and drums reverberate through your chest, this is your moment.

- Sat 2.14 - Gemini & Scorpio's Meet Me in Paris ($20-50, HoS members get discounts) - step back in time to turn-of-century Paris in the annual VDay cabaret bash and 24th(!) birthday party. Live music, live performance, cozy seating, swingin' dance floor, killer cocktails...and a midnight ceremony to release old love patterns and invite new love in. Best date night in town at about half the price of a boring restaurant.

- Fri 2.6 - Taste The Rainbow: community social ($0-10, open to all) - New Year resolutions and Valentine's Day always give February HoS events an extra buzz. If you're thinking about attending any of the sexier offerings later in the month, we super duper strongly recommend popping into the mixer first -- meet the community socially before entering into more playful space with us. And as always, even at the $5 monthly membership level, the mixer is FREE ($10 otherwise).

- Sun 2.8 - Sinema Club: exploring gender & sexuality on screen ($0-10, open to all) - Dinner and a movie is a classic date or friend night, and we're here to facilitate yours. We have two absurd options for you: Isabella Rossellini's charmingly DIY mini doc series Green Porno + the softcore sex comedy Sexual Chronicles of a French Family. You guys decide how much or how little of each you want to see!

- Fri 2.13 - Lip Service: pansexual makeout party ($0-25, members only) - The legendary R-rated event that lets you dip your toes into those playful waters. Whether it's our Spin The Bottle, Dirty Jenga or DIY Win-A-Kiss Wheel, we offer you lots of ways to experiment, with just your partner(s) or the larger group. This is the one event where you won't be judged for the thing that is most fun to do at a party: make out with someone in a dark corner.

- Fri 2.20 - Saints & Sinners ($0-25 GA / $0-45 VIP, members only) - It's back! The one and only pop-up skrip clerb fit for HoS, with a lineup that will bring you to your knees. That's...as much as we can say, other than: YOU DON'T WANT TO MISS THIS. We don't have the full invite up anywhere yet, but tickets are available, and there's an extra -$10 early bird discount until early Feb!

DDD is a queer-forward kink-friendly goth dance celebration, inviting all participants to let go, dance and play in our luscious private loft. We embrace all genders and sexualities and levels of darkness.
 
Special live band dance set! Brooklyn-based trio None Shall Remain blends post-punk with aspects of goth rock, darkwave, and shoegaze. They light up the dance floor with powerful and distinctively raw experience.

On decks: resident DJ Shiver has been bringing the best of darkwave, goth, industrial, and post-punk sounds since 2015. Having spun at Femme Fest LA, Defcon NYC, and co-founding clubs Dolce Vita and Physical Ruins, she continues to blend both beloved classics and the best of new dark music. She also runs Wire Trap music magazine featuring the best new darkwave and post-punk music and events.

Light kink play welcome, but please note there is no dedicated dungeon setup or dedicated monitors. Consent and polite party behavior strictly enforced.

Dress code: goth, fetish, romantic, vampire, dark Lolita, neo-Victorian, steampunk, ninja warrior. Effort required / no casual wear.

We get asked all the time how people can join HoS if they are shy, don't have like-minded friends, lack PALs for play parties, have no idea how this whole thing works, don't feel like jumping into sexy activity but want to connect to open-minded humans, etc. This party is the answer!

Calling all LGBTQIA+, poly, kink, swinger and other "alternative" dating/sex/gender-aligned humans and their allies. We're creating a protected and judgment-free space for connections, conversations, community, games and interactivity. This is the key HoS event open to non-members. Come meet us before you join!

For those of you new to it all: direct introductions to HoS members new and old; facilitated discussions on poly, kink and swinger lifestyles; icebreaker games to welcome you to our club.

For our regulars: a way to ease new friends into our scene; a chance to meet all the new faces you may want to kiss later; a visit with the community even if your PAL is not around.

For everyone: tabletop and social games, both risqué and plain fun; a charming host to make the introductions and explain all things HoS and sex-positive, and a cozy setting for conversations and future kisses. Our main icebreaker game, HoS Guest Bingo, runs from 7:30pm until we have a winner: get to know everyone in the room, and win a drink if you complete your bingo card.

Miss Scorpio is back hosting the mixer! Come ask her directly anything you want to know about this community. We've been building it for you for 10+ years, and hope to be here for 10+ more.

The body's largest sex organ is the brain. Sinema Club stimulates yours with films that are explicitly erotic, homo-romantic, or gender-exploring -- and always thought-provoking. A rousing discussion follows; drinking is encouraged throughout, and mingling happens before, in breaks and after. Plus: free popcorn from our vintage cart. This month's features: Isabella Rossellini's Green Porno + Sexual Chronicles of a French Family

Green Porno (2008) is a series of short films on animal sexual behaviour conceived, written, and directed by its star, Isabella Rossellini. The three seasons of the series cover insects, marine & ocean life. The series is delightfully DIY, with homemade costumes, cardboard cut-outs and foam-rubber sculptures.

Sexual Chronicles of a French Family (2012, 85min), a sex comedy featuring explicit scenes with adult film stars. The premise is as shallow as any adult film: after youngest son Romain is caught filming himself masturbating in class, his mother Claire rounds up the family to talk about their sexual experiences.

Sinema Club is curated and hosted by Phil Guie-Ng (@thatphilguymovies): an inquisitive, ardent longtime film critic who is dying to tell you about movies you haven't heard of yet. As a reviewer at the website Film-Forward, his self-appointed mission was covering documentaries and features about subjects who challenged conventional attitudes about gender, masculinity, and more. When Phil isn't writing about movies, you can find him in Brooklyn taking part in protests on behalf of basic human rights.

A clandestine French cabaret with sensuous live music, sultry burlesque and variety acts, followed by late-night dancing and lounging in our luscious loft. Two live bands to swoon, sway and dance to, with deliciously naughty performances during and in between. Absinthe and other special libations at the bar. It's also our annual Birthday celebration: we turn 24 this year!

Your night:

- At 9:30pm, free social dance class by Brooklyn Swings, who lead swing and Lindy hop classes in our Loft every Tuesday.

- At 10pm & 11pm, live sets by Voluption, a new brass noir project from HONK NYC: bal-musette accordion folk meets sultry swing.

- During and in between, live cabaret acts by burlesque and variety acts to tease and titillate you.

- At midnight, a special ceremony to meet the Lunar New Year and the New Moon: The Release of Saint Valentine. Do you need to release the love stories of your past and welcome in love stories of your future? Write them all on small cards, and place them into flames with us, summoning a rebirth in celebration of love's boundless offerings.

- After, a live set by HONK Family Band, NYC's homegrown brass street band extraordinaire, as seen at Mayor Mamdani's inauguration. Let go, dance out your feelings, and make room for new love and new joy.

- At 1am, we close with an electro-swing dance party.

Dress code (required; no casual wear): cocktail or costume.
