What a gorgeous Mardi Gras, as always! So much love to the bands and the guests! G&S doesn't do as many big blowouts these days, so it's pure joy when we get to do what we do -- and you guys turn up in full finery and fill the place <3 Well post pics and video to Insta as they come in; some are already up - go see.

We've got a mixed bag of options for your March events, between us, House of Scorpio, and a guest Burning Man event. All details are below the summaries in date order. We hope to see you here again soon!

- Wed 3.25 - Burning Man Happy Hour ($0, open to all) - theme camp speed dating edition! If you're going to That Thing In The Desert, finding a camp to stay and build creativity with is one of the biggest decisions you get to make. Come meet local NYC theme camps and see if any of them might be a match for you. Also, Miss Scorpio will have her racks set up for festival-ready party outfits.

- Fri 3.27 - Dark DecaDance goth dance party ($0-20, open to all) - queer meets kink meets goth. Light play welcome, but mostly it's a social and dance party. Earlybird tickets are in effect until Friday!

- This Fri 3.13 - Lip Service: pansexual makeout party ($0-25, members only) - A party where making out in dark corners is not just tolerated, but encouraged. Even if you're only playing within your closed circle, doing that without feeling like you're breaking the social contract feels pretty great. For you more adventurous folk, this is where the games get physical, too (Sexy Jenga! Spin the Bottle!). It's our signature event, and it's a ton of fun without a lot of pressure.

- Fri 4.3 - Taste The Rainbow: community social ($0-10, open to all) - The all-are-welcome monthly gathering to introduce members old and new to each other. We have table and icebreaker games to make the intros easier. As always, even $5 members can attend the event FREE.

- Sun 4.12 - Sinema Club: exploring gender & sexuality on screen ($0-10, open to all) - It's rare to see sexuality-oriented cinema be treated seriously, and we are here to change that. This month, we're returning to our Es-sin-tial Filmmakers series with one of the top classics of the 90s nouveau adult cinema (arguably even the one that started the trend!): Andrew Blake's "House of Dreams" (1991).

- Fri 4.17 - FemFlirt + MeetMarket ($0-10, open to all) - Want to meet more humans to kiss? Come flirt, at the one HoS party where you're allowed to shamelessly hit on other guests! Half the room is dedicated to a safe and encouraging space for F4F & NB flirting, and half the room is for all-gender flirting. The bar is a no-cruising social safe space: friendly chat only. Singles and dating non-singles of all genders and orientations welcome. Let's flirt! (We're still finding out whether Vonka is available to teach her Flirting for Femmes class.)

DDD is a queer-forward kink-friendly goth dance celebration, inviting all participants to let go, dance and play in our luscious private loft. We embrace all genders and sexualities and levels of darkness.
 
On decks: resident DJ Shiver has been bringing the best of darkwave, goth, industrial, and post-punk sounds since 2015. Having spun at Femme Fest LA, Defcon NYC, and co-founding clubs Dolce Vita and Physical Ruins, she continues to blend both beloved classics and the best of new dark music. She also runs Wire Trap music magazine featuring the best new darkwave and post-punk music and events.

People always ask if can join HoS if they are shy, don't have like-minded friends, lack PALs for play parties, have no idea how this whole thing works, don't feel like jumping into sexy activity but want to connect to open-minded humans, etc etc. This party is the answer!

Calling all LGBTQIA+, poly, kink, ENM and other "alternative" dating/sex/gender-aligned humans and their allies. We're creating a protected and judgment-free space for connections, conversations, community, games and interactivity. This is the place to start if you've never been -- and the party is always FREE if you're already a member.

A unnamed woman (Zara Whites) finds herself exploring a house where every room conjures up visions of sex: straight, gay, solo, kink. House of Dreams took home 7 AVN Awards (including Best Film), making it director Andrew Blake's most honored movie to date. Andrew Blake is one of our Es-Sin-tial Filmmakers: sex columnist Violet Blue has called his films "a whole different genre of explicit erotic filmmaking," "luxuriously designed from nip tip to toe," and "stylish as hell." Released in 1991, this is the film that can be considered the trend-setter in the brief blip of gorgeously avant grade 90s adult cinema.

Sinema Club is curated and hosted by Phil Guie-Ng (@thatphilguymovies): an inquisitive, ardent longtime film critic who is dying to tell you about movies you haven't heard of yet. As a reviewer at the website Film-Forward, his self-appointed mission was covering documentaries and features about subjects who challenged conventional attitudes about gender, masculinity, and more. When Phil isn't writing about movies, you can find him in Brooklyn taking part in protests on behalf of basic human rights.

It's been a common refrain that it's harder for women/GNC/NB folks to flirt with each other, as they frequently can't tell how much flirting may be ok, who's straight and who's open, and whether a connection they may be feeling is a friendly one or one with potential chemistry to explore. And, when cis & hetero presenting, they are sometimes made to feel too straight for gay spaces, and invisible or too queer in mixed environments.

This event is a small step towards diminishing pan, queer and gay femme/NB invisibility, enabling and encouraging those folks to connect romantically and physically to others like them, wherever they fall on the gender presentation spectrum.

Who can attend: self-identifying women and GNC/NB humans who want to connect with other women and GNC/NB humans. No masc folks on this side of the room, please.

We put our "no cruising" rule on hold and encourage all guests to shamelessly hit on each other. An all-gender, all-orientation flirting party to help you find a partner (or two).
