Last week of Pride is here, and we are excited to be GAYAF with you all. We also have two last minute bonus events at the Loft this week that are open to all, for a grand total of four party nights starting tomorrow. Eeep!

Lastly: we're hiring! We've been needing to expand our crew for a while, so if you've ever wanted to work in this bonkers industry, hit us up. What we need (experience required): speedy & social bartenders, barbacks / bussers / trash handlers, plus misc other event help, like door or (eventually) event & venue management. If you fill multiple roles, great! We love having a cross-trained team and being able to assign more gigs to core crew. Separately from those, we need a reliable & detail-oriented local cleaner just about every Monday. Every position is at least $25/hr.

Pro domme Viktoria Sway is joining HoS to lead a variety of classes, but first -- let's get to know each other and have a little playful Pride pre-party before we go into Countdown full play mode (that one only open to approved HoS members).

- Note date change! Thur 6.2 - Taste The Rainbow: community social ($0-10, open to all) - Pushing this one back a day, in case folks are traveling for the 4th. Come grab a dose of sex-positive femme- and queer-forward community like only NYC can provide before you go off into Americana land.

- Fri 7.10 - Lip Service: pansexual makeout party ($0-25, members only) - A party where making out in dark corners is not just tolerated, but encouraged. Even if you're only playing within your closed circle, doing that without feeling like you're breaking the social contract feels pretty great. For you more adventurous folk, this is where the games get physical, too (Sexy Jenga! Spin the Bottle!). It's our signature event, and it's a ton of fun without a lot of pressure.

- Sun 7.12 - Sinema Club: exploring gender & sexuality on screen ($0-10, open to all) - It's rare to see sexuality-oriented cinema be treated seriously, and we are here to change that. July pick: Russ Meyers' Beyond the Valley of the Dolls (1970). Phil is not here for this one, so we're just going to enjoy this notoriously wild and dirty ride without much deep discussion or special guests.

- Fri 7.17 - FemFlirt + MeetMarket ($0-20, members only) - Have you noticed how much all dating apps have started sucking? It's time to bring back IRL meetups for folks of all genders and orientations to find new play or dating partners. Calling all singles and dating non-singles for a flirting party two-fer: FemFlirt for femme & non-binary folks on one side of the room; MeetMarket for everyone else on the other. The bar is a neutral no-flirting zone. Tabletop and social games ease the process (come early).

An evening exploring the art of inhabited sculpture, anchored by the designer of the Temple of the Deep — the 2025 Burning Man Temple — and a local practitioner whose work lives in the same tradition. We will learn more about the concepts --and realities -- of one of the most iconic annual installation placements on the Playa.

Michael White opens with a brief framing talk on Inhabited Sculpture as an emerging movement. A 2025 Burning Man Honoraria recipient for EyeToTheSky who has worked with multiple Temple teams, White will introduce the conceptual territory and set up the evening.

Miguel Arraiz García follows with the main event. A Spanish architect and artist based in Valencia, Miguel's background in Las Fallas — a festival rooted in the creation and burning of monumental structures — shaped his approach to ephemeral architecture and storytelling through space. As the first Spanish native to lead the Burning Man Temple project, he brings a genuinely global perspective. The Temple of the Deep drew inspiration from the Black Rock Desert landscape, exploring radical acceptance and the importance of fully experiencing emotions as part of the healing process — a space where feelings can be acknowledged without pressure to move through grief or transformation too quickly. Miguel will speak about the design, the build, and what it means to create a structure whose final act is its own burning.

DDD is a queer-forward kink-friendly goth dance celebration, inviting all participants to let go, dance and play in our luscious private loft. We embrace all genders and sexualities and levels of darkness.
 
On decks: resident DJ Shiver has been bringing the best of darkwave, goth, industrial, and post-punk sounds since 2015. Having spun at Femme Fest LA, Defcon NYC, and co-founding clubs Dolce Vita and Physical Ruins, she continues to blend both beloved classics and the best of new dark music. She also runs Wire Trap music magazine featuring the best new darkwave and post-punk music and events.

Special guest DJ: Adrienne Scissorhands from Oakland, CA. Adrienne has been DJing since the early 2000’s, playing at clubs and festivals in multiple cities and countries, and running their own monthly party, Post-Mortem, since 2017. They have a passion for supporting and exposing current artists worldwide as well as playing old school bangers.

Light kink play welcome, but please note there is no dedicated dungeon setup or monitors. Consent and polite party behavior strictly enforced.

People always ask if can join HoS if they are shy, don't have like-minded friends, lack PALs for play parties, have no idea how this whole thing works, don't feel like jumping into sexy activity but want to connect to open-minded humans, etc etc. This party is the answer!

We're creating a protected and judgment-free space for connections, conversations, community, games and interactivity.
