12.31.14: G&S New Year's Eve: The Court of the Snow Queen

Irondale Performing Arts Center, 85 S Oxford St, Fort Greene, BK
Event on Facebook | Twitter: #GSsnowqueen (same on Instagram)

Enter the court of the fierce Snow Queen, who holds a menagerie of entertainers hostage for her pleasure. It whirls with the creatures and spirits of winter, their talents a spectacle commanded by her whim. At her personal guard is a great white bear, and at the gate a noxious troll. Her great hall glitters and radiates with frost, snow and ice. The very weather itself rises and howls under her control.

The Queen has enchanted and stolen a mortal boy, Kai. But his beloved, Gerda, has summoned all the power of fire to win him back and defeat the Queen. Who will triumph in this battle for the human heart?
